The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are back to their pitching roots and this time are combining two office workplace comedies pitting workers against management, the sexual harassment comedy hit from 1980, "Nine to Five," and the 2017 dark comedy about bloody office politics, "Mayhem." Available on Apple and Spotify Episode 310 includes: -Trailer reactions to the horror movie of our age -- "Karen." -Nate says "Awake" will struggle to keep you awake. -Ben has studied the laziness of Bruce Willis in two sci-fi indies where he was clearly there for a weekend. -Netflix's "Wish Dragon" is like a Chinese "Aladdin" but okay. -Switch the Pitch -- "9 to 5" / "Mayhem" -The guys discuss the two movies of this week and try and pitch an entire three-act structure for a blend new movie synthesizing elements from both with the help of a random die roll system.

In part two, the "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are playing the latest game of Switch the Pitch be combining the likes of 1971's "Harold and Maude" and the awfulness of the truly terrible 1998 "Avengers" movie (non-MCU, mind you) into a brand-new movie that they will pitch out an act structure for. Behold, the likes of a May-December romance between spies and their helpers. Available on Apple and Spotify Episode 310 includes: -The guys talk about their generally warm feelings for "Harold and Maude," and their very cold cold feelings for the big-budget catastrophe, 1998's "Avengers." -Switch the Pitch -The guys play a dice roll game to pitch out a combination for both movies and create an original movie story.

Due to the size, the recent recording by the "Dirty Sons of Pitches" is being split in half, with part one being the discussion of the week's news items and the movies seen, including big new studio releases like whether there is a moral fault for "In the Heights" and "The Conjuring 3," whether "Luca" is anything more than a literal fish out of water tale, and just how bad Paramount Plus' "Infinite" can get. Available on Apple and Spotify Episode 308 includes: -R.I.P. Ned Beatty, a man who is best known for squealing like a pig when requested. -Ben think "In the Heights" is a tragedy because the character don't burn down the mechanisms of capitalism. Nate likes the songs. -"The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It" is a gross example of deifying hucksters trying to free a real killer. -"Luca" is pretty but nothing special from Pixar. -"Infinite" is the first "Paramount Plus original" and there's a reason this generic, big-budget, vaguely supernatural sci-fi action thriller got shuttled off to a streamer. The guys discuss the faults at length and Ben pitches a much improved version in minutes.

The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are back to their pitching roots and coming up with a brand-new movie based upon the mixing of two sci-fi movies, 1995's schlocky action thriller "Virtuosity," a silly hoot that nobody really talks about, and David Cronenberg's body horror descent into madness with 1983's Videodrome."
