Dirty Sons of Pitches

The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" have watched many bad movies but now they're looking into the world of bad unaired TV, pilots that never made it to your television set because somebody realized, rightly, that they were awful (or were they???). The guys talk, as usual, about an assortment of topics both intellectual and low-brow as Ben has a moral crisis of whether he should go to the same crude joke wells so readily. You be the judge, folks.

Available on iTunes.

Episode 140 includes:

-Hasbro Cinematic Universe segues into a remembrance of TNN, the weird return of Ren and Stimpy, and the new Rita Repulsa.

-Ben is shocked and amazed to find himself actually sort of enjoying "The Boss."

-Ben attempts to name ten Spanish names on the spot. Stay for "Lil' Pogo, the investment banker."

-Ben and Nate disagree over "Midnight Special" and then somehow shift into a "Foxcatcher" impression about repopulating that "Interstellar" planet with Anne Hathaway. So... yeah.

-This Week's Pitch -- None!

-Bonus Discussion -- What the Hell Did We Just Watch? TV Pilots!

-The guys explore a world of failed TV pilots based upon TV and feature films including "Clerks," "Driving Miss Daisy," and a 21st century "Mr. Ed."

Ben and Nate just saw the new DC comics epic "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice," and spoiler alert, it is epic in its badness. The guys insisted upon recording immediately after they saw the movie, so here goes an hour of the two "Dirty Sons of Pitches" trying to make sense of the senseless and coming to the startling conclusion that 1997's megabomb "Batman and Robin" was actually a better movie than this new one. Let that fully sink in. Take a tall drink there, Holly Hunter.

WARNING: LOTS OF SPOILERS IN THIS PODCAST.

They also discuss another batch of 'Z Nation' season two episodes, and along the way they talk about the new 'X-Files,' the physical properties of GoGurt, whether anyone has gotten anything useful out of Yahoo Answers, the perils of subscription services, the trailer for the third Purge movie, how bad '50 Shades of Black' gets, and the positives for attracting downloads by putting the word "naked" and "nude" in your title for what is an auditory medium.

Along the way they talk about what the future of Google will be like, whether Bing is the symbol of the revolution, their love for Liev Schreiber, the most unfortunate FDA-approved product, and whether the glut of superhero films will be looked at as the Western was in the 50s in the future.

Available on iTunes.

The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are getting weird like they usually do, this time reflecting upon recent Oscar rule changes and the full impact they may or may not have. To go along with the scary doll horror film "The Boy" the guys are pitching stories about possessed, living, or killer inanimate objects, and you haven't lived until you've heard about Killer Commode. After that, the "Z Nation" watch journeys into the exciting world of season two and even more zombie mayhem.

Available on iTunes.

-The Oscars are changing their voting rules but will it do the trick?

-This Week's Pitch -- Inanimate Objects!

-Ben pitches a film about a haunted toilet that demands blood sacrifices. It is awesome.
